A new home for critical thought on photobooks led by Euginue Shinkle and Callum Beaney, with contributions from Lucy J Rogers, Matt Dunne, Lillian Wilkie and Andy Pham. C4 Journal is a platform dedicated to writing about photography, and the use of the book form as a way of presenting it.
Their aim is to explore and promote exceptional work from all over the world, including that which is often sidelined in more mainstream discussion and debate.
They believe that writing about photography can and should be clear, critical and accessible, and that it should give a voice to work that seeks out new ways of seeing and thinking.
They publish articles and interviews on their site (c4journal.com), but also share work that excites them on Instagram, @c4journal.
