Friday Fry Up: Stephen Goldstein — Approaching Garland

Approaching Garland is a project about small communities and people who live off the land, scattered around the outskirts of Flagstaff, Arizona. Abandoned homes and people, settled in the mountains of Northern Arizona. Also photographed in the project, are visitors to Coconino County, Arizona, who flock from the valley of Arizona, for a breath of its fresh air. ‘Garland,’ comes from a significant forest road that runs through Parks, Arizona, a small community I made a lot of the pictures in. A place where I found some of my subjects/ abandoned homes on the turn off’s and backroads of the lakes/ woods in Flagstaff/ Parks, Arizona.
