Have you recently been living by any life philosophy?  I’m right, they’re wrong. You can no longer speak english, pick a new language.  Gibberish. What was the last crime you witnessed?  I picked up a prostitute. What is your plan for the next 24 hours?  Eat, sleep, watch a little television, fuck around online, maybe a little work, call my mom, and if I’m lucky take a shit.

Would you like to see more or less political correctness? Both. What part of the planet would you like to explore? France. Where do you think the most dangerous place on Earth is?  America. If you had to align yourself with a leader in history, who would it be?  Can’t think of anyone which seems kind of a shame. What moment have you most wished you’d had a camera when you hadn’t?  If I see something and I think that would make a good picture that’s kind of the same as making the exposure so I don’t feel like I ever really missed anything.

Who would you most like to see embarrass themselves?  No one. Make a prediction for the future.  Things are going to get better and things are going to get worse. Your favorite painter? Francis Bacon. What is your nationality?  American. What nationality would you like to be alternatively?  UnAmerican. Ultimate camera?  Hasn’t been invented yet but shouldn’t be much longer. Most used camera?  The one I use now which is a middle range Nikon DSLR.

Which living person do you most admire?  Myself, but probably tomorrow I’m going to wish I’d said someone else. Who is your favorite hero of fiction?  Nathan Zuckerman, Harry Angstrom, Alex DeLarge, Tarzan. What is the next book you want to read?  I have at least a hundred in waiting.  I’d like to re-read Wizard Of The Crow by Wa’Thiong’O, Ngugi.  Whatever David Mitchell writes next.  Whatever Russell Banks writes next. Who would you never work for, no matter how much they offered to pay?  The Government. Describe a cheap thrill.  Late night photo sessions in Los Angeles and wrestling with my cat.
