What is your idea of perfect happiness? Constant output. Creative freedom. Friends close by. What is your greatest fear? To lose my loved ones. To be lost at sea. To have pigeons fly in my face. Which historical figure do you most identify with? No idea. The future interests me much more than the past. Which living person do you most admire? Anyone acting on what they believe in. Which living person do you most despise? I don’t despise anyone. Which words or phrases do you most overuse? I need a coffee. Which talent would you most like to have? To be in multiple places at once. What is your current state of mind? Scattered / focused. Who are your favourite writers? I don’t recall the words but the imagery from Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s Kubla Khan has never left my head since I was young.

Who is your favourite hero of fiction? MF Doom. Summer or winter? Spring? How would you like to die? After my wife. If you were an inanimate object, what would it be? Living as a tree for hundreds of years would be great. Ultimate camera? For now, maybe a medium format film Hasselblad. Most used camera? Nikon D800. What object do you want? More plants. A potters wheel. What object do you need? I don’t “need” anything. Where would you like to live? A small house with concrete floors, a large garden and a vegetable patch. What is your favourite occupation? Photography. What is the quality you most value in a man? Creativity, humility. What is the quality you most value in a woman? Intelligence, creativity.
